Claire has been growing so fast. Tim weighed her with him the other day and she is over 9lbs already. He says she has thunder thighs but I think they are adorable. We are officially out of preemie clothes and into newborn. It is so fun to dress her! She has been such a good baby and we enjoy every minute. She loves bath time and is starting to smile daily and not just when she's sleeping.
The last few weeks we have done a few things with Claire's cousins they change so much just in such a short time. Claire is already 8 weeks old and has grown so much. Last week we went to the Zoo with my sister and Claire's cousin Ben. I'm not the best about pictures so this is all I took. I'm trying to get better.

We recently had Claire's newborn pictures taken by our friend Mary. She did such a great job we are so excited to put them up in the house.
I can't believe our little Claire is a month old. The month has gone by fast but I felt like the first 2-3 weeks were recovering I still had to be careful of bending over and lifting things but now I can pretty much do anything. Tim and I have loved being parents and can't get enough of our little girl. The last few weeks we have been sort of busy I have been reorganizing a few things and sorting through the endless papers we have gotten or continue to get from the mail and doctors. We have tried to keep her in as much as possible but I was going stir crazy so I have been taking her out here and there and we have figured out movies are a breeze when she sleeps through the whole thing.
We have also started the temple prep classes and are super excited to take that step at the end of next year. We went to a baptism the other Saturday and I really felt the spirit it was just the other day that Tim got baptized and is now waiting to gain the priesthood so he can bless Claire. We are so excited for this year to be just or more eventful and exciting as last year. Last week a friend came in town from Utah and it was so fun to go to our favorite resteraunt Oregano's that is our meeting place most of the time when we all get together. Here are a few pictures form the last few weeks she can almost fit into newborn clothes. I think she is probably around 7lbs by now she continues to change but still seems so small. We think she will be a real water baby because she loves having a bath she kicks and waves her arms it makes it a little difflcult when she gets so slippery we use the sink the bath tub was a little too big!
Those of you who know Tim know that he is always coming up with silly things and teasing. We were watching TV and when he stood up this is what I saw. She didn't seem to mind at all she doesn't know how funny her Dad is yet.

The last 2 weeks she has been so much fun to have. Tim stayed home from work the first week and my Mom hung out with us the 2nd week. She now weighs 6lbs 9ozs and is 19 inch long. She loves to eat and reminds us every three hours that she is hungry.This was her first Dr's appt
she didn't even cry when she got her blood drawn. She loves to lay out and kick her feet.
She loves having time with her Dad especially playing video games and taking naps.
On January 29,2009 at 1929 we had our new bundle of joy Claire Olivia. She was 5lbs 8 ozs, 18 inches long and perfect.
She was such a good baby she didn't cry hardly at all she got her hearing test done one of the days she looked so cute.
Well what can I say we don't always know what life will bring us until it happens. I was feeling pretty decent after being put on bedrest but it was short lived. I was put on bedrest Tues and had a baby Wed. When we went in to be monitored on Wed night they tested my urine again and the protien was 5x the normal so they told us at midnight we weren't going anywhere and they were inducing me. We were in the triage room at this point and settling in for the night the medicine they gave me takes 12 hours to work so we tried to get sleep as the blood pressure machine was going off every 15 minutes and nurses watching the baby on the monitor at the nurses station. I think that was the hardest part just waiting for time to pass by. The hospital was busy and they didn't want to give us a bigger room incase more moms in labor came in. The room felt smaller by the hour and poor Tim had to sleep in this little chair all night.The next day after the 12 hour wait we found out that I had done nothing in the last 12 hours I hadn't dilated even to 1. At that point I was feeling worse and contractions had slowly started, Tim was feeling the affects of the unknown and felt like he had the flu. Claire was doing great she looked perfect on the monitor. The next step was a pretty easy the doctor called and said C-section now or wait 12 more hours which nothing would probably happen and I would end up with a C-section anyway. Of course we went with the C-section that night.
It's funny that even though I work in surgery and see this stuff everyday I was still really nervous. Everyone was so wonderful it really worked out perfect. My family was able to come before we went in for the C-section so we could update them on everything.
It was especially great because Tim could wear this great outfit and be in the delivery with me. He video taped the whole thing and could take pictures and even got the chance to cut the cord when she was out. It was such a cool experience. There is nothing like hearing the sound of your own baby cry.
