Father's day

Father's day was so much fun. Our day was a long one though. First we went to our old ward in North Phoenix with my parents. There were so many old faces we could catch up with. It was kind of weird to be back in our old ward but it was fun to be with my dad on Father's day.

Then we went to BJ's restaraunt with Tim's family for lunch. It was fun to see everyone. All the dads got free glasses for coming to eat there. It was nice to sit and talk. Ian Tim's brother is getting his driving permit next week. So he has been studying for that. Skyler Tim's little sister is always creative with the way she eats her food. Yesterday the smiley shaped fries turned into a pirate with an eye patch. We alwayshave a great time with family.

Next we came back to my parents where monster was having a great time swimming in my parents pool. He is a real water dog. Every time we take him some where with a pool he goes crazy to get out of the car and jumps right in.

My dad was already home from church and done with meetings for the day. They cancelled all Bishopric meetings after church so they could spend time with their families. It was such a hot day so everyone was in the pool. That is one thing we miss having right outside our door is a pool. We have community pools but we have never taken advantage of them yet. I'm sure once we have kids we will put them to good use. We always have fun shopping for my dad. He always likes what you least expect. This year he got his favorite an In and Out shirt. It is a main staple to his wardrobe. He also got Cd's he is trying to extend his collection for his days where he is driving all over town to restaraunt appointments. My mom got him a Little Giant ladder. It came a week early with little giant writing all over the box but he acted suprised when Tim carried it in from the side of the house. He has been known to peek when presents are left unhidden. Here he is posing with the new ladder. My mom never fail reminds him of the times where he would stack mulitple table on each other to get what he needed. He never fell as far as we know but most of the time he did it when we weren't home. He's funny that way.

We had such a fun day we got to see both dad's and spend time with each of them. We love that!
