Ben's First Birthday

Ben had his first birthday last weekend. I can't believe how grown up he is. They had a swimming party at their house. He loves the water. Everyone was fighting for his attention especially the Grandma's they couldn't get enough of him.
He had fun swimming and then trying hamburger for the first time. It started out as a picky eater but I think that is coming to an end. He is now trying a lot of new things.
The party wasn't until later so is was perfect weather. Some of Hailey and Danny's friends Drea and Jason came so we could catch up with them. I haven't seen them in a while. Next came presents as you can see Ben got a lot of toys, and clothes. He was so overwhelmed he didn't know what to play with next.

Ben just kept playing with what ever we gave him next. He was so funny I don't think he realized he was the center of attention. I think he thought it was just another day. He got this cube with about 100 different things to play with on it and he only wanted to play with a little section with beads.

My Dad has always had a wood working talent he is a bit of a perfectionist at times. He made this toy box for Ben. It is beautiful it looks store bought. He made it for the living room for all the toys Ben has and the extras he just got for his birthday. It brought tears to my sister's eyes.

Ben's First Birthday

My Husband

I think I have the sweetest husband. Usually around Holidays and Birthdays he always makes me nervous because he never asks what I want and I never know when he is going shopping. I sometimes wonder what he is getting me. This year he already had my present a week in advance which is kind of unlike him. He usually waits until the night before. He got me a wallet to go with the purse I got last year which was at the top of the list for things I wanted. It's so fun to see what he picks out. Of course he always lets me take things back if they aren't exactly what I wanted but this year he made a good pick.

My Birthday

This year my birthday came so fast. I can't believe I just turned 27. I think it was one of my favorites though. My mom and I took the day off work and the 4 of us (Me,Mom, Hailey, Ben) spent the whole day together. We first got our nails done which I really needed. Then we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory I love their chicken salad sandwiches. And of course Ben was flirting with all the waitresses. They all kept coming to see how he was doing. Then we walked the short walk to the Mall it was only 50 feet but I felt like I was roasting by the time we got to the doors. It was so fun just spending time with my Mom and sister.

Happy Birthday Heather!!

This is Heather's sister Hailey, I have snuck into her blog to wish her a very happy birthday!! Heather and I were two peas in a pod growing up. Everyone always asks us if we are twins. I have so many great memories of us growing up together. With it just being the two of us we always looked to each other for someone to play with and of course fight with!! Heather is very independent. I admire that so much. She is very busy with work and going back to school to get her bachelors degree, but she alway makes time for her family and friends. Thanks for being such a great sister and friend. I hope you have the best day! Love you!!

Father's day

Father's day was so much fun. Our day was a long one though. First we went to our old ward in North Phoenix with my parents. There were so many old faces we could catch up with. It was kind of weird to be back in our old ward but it was fun to be with my dad on Father's day.

Then we went to BJ's restaraunt with Tim's family for lunch. It was fun to see everyone. All the dads got free glasses for coming to eat there. It was nice to sit and talk. Ian Tim's brother is getting his driving permit next week. So he has been studying for that. Skyler Tim's little sister is always creative with the way she eats her food. Yesterday the smiley shaped fries turned into a pirate with an eye patch. We alwayshave a great time with family.

Next we came back to my parents where monster was having a great time swimming in my parents pool. He is a real water dog. Every time we take him some where with a pool he goes crazy to get out of the car and jumps right in.

My dad was already home from church and done with meetings for the day. They cancelled all Bishopric meetings after church so they could spend time with their families. It was such a hot day so everyone was in the pool. That is one thing we miss having right outside our door is a pool. We have community pools but we have never taken advantage of them yet. I'm sure once we have kids we will put them to good use. We always have fun shopping for my dad. He always likes what you least expect. This year he got his favorite an In and Out shirt. It is a main staple to his wardrobe. He also got Cd's he is trying to extend his collection for his days where he is driving all over town to restaraunt appointments. My mom got him a Little Giant ladder. It came a week early with little giant writing all over the box but he acted suprised when Tim carried it in from the side of the house. He has been known to peek when presents are left unhidden. Here he is posing with the new ladder. My mom never fail reminds him of the times where he would stack mulitple table on each other to get what he needed. He never fell as far as we know but most of the time he did it when we weren't home. He's funny that way.

We had such a fun day we got to see both dad's and spend time with each of them. We love that!

My Birthday Dinner

On Saturday we went to one of my favorite restaurants Outback for my birthday dinner. I can't believe I am another year older. It was really fun to get together and have dinner. I am so excited I got a new digital camera. The one I have is a little beat up from the past trips we have gone on. I also got some new accessories for the house from Hailey and Dan. I love getting new things to fill up our empty spaces. For our family June is one of the busiest months. We have Father's day, my birthday, Ben's and my Dad's birthday all within a week and a half. And not to mention my parent's anniversary.

Our New Blog

We are now officially bloggers. Yesterday my sister helped me make a blog. I have been wanting to do one for awhile but needed help to get started. With a 1 year old nephew Ben we definetly needed to wait until nap time to work on it. We hope you enjoy our day to day life!
